about

This song was inspired by a memorable evening in a small bar in Japan where the bartender played Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, carefully handling the vinyl with a pair of white gloves.

lyrics

Kind of Blue
By Eiks

A row of shiny whisky bottles salute him
A couple in the corner
Her flaked red nails caressing her drink

As the clock strikes midnight he carefully places the needle
The last train rumbles in the distance
The smoky night sky glows in a kind of blue

The soft lights tenderly carry you home
Shadows dance to your steps
As you waltz to your door

A yellow crescent moon
In a glass of cold gin
Neatly placed coasters eavesdrop into to the drunken tales

As the clock strikes midnight he carefully places the needle
The last train rumbles in the distance
The smoky night sky glows in a kind of blue
